H A P P Y  N E W  Y E A R!!
I hope everyone had a lovely new year's eve!
We had such a great night ringing in the new year with Brittany and her husband.
I will post some photos from last night soon...

Anyway, I wore this outfit few days ago for a little family get together.
I typically don't wear open toe heels during the winter months, but this day I opted to wear them since the event was held indoors.
BIG mistake.
I thought my toes were going to fall off from the extreme cold just from the car to the venue! I'm a big baby.
It's getting trickier to dress for functions and events in this snow and freezing temperature.
I'm going to have to start getting more creative with my outfits...

What is your go to item during cold months?

I'm such a sucker for anything polka dotted {and sequined too}, so this is one of my favorite outfits yet! Also, happy to hear your toes didn't fall off - living in Wisconsin has taught me time and time again {if I'm willing to listen} that all the clothes that would look cute will probably end in hypothermia. My go to is my puffy north face jacket that makes me look like a marshmellow :)

Maya

SO cute! I love this outfit. :) I don't like wearing a lot of layers, so winter can be tricky because sometimes I refuse to wear a coat. haha!

For me, cold weather means I'm piling on the layers. Scarfs, sweaters, and boots. If I'm wearing heels they are most likely boots with heels or very thick heeled pumps with closed toes!

Super cute! Love the floral/polka dot combo. I have to have warm shoes. haha.. Sweaters are always great too. Haven't needed too much warm stuff cause Houston is hot, but right now I always am wearing sweaters/cardigans.

Haha... Thanks, Angela! I think my body went into hypothermia after for a second. It took me a while to recover afterwards. The things we do for outfit pictures...

Thanks, Audrey! I think floral and polka dots are such an easy pattern combo that anyone can do! And gosh, I wish we had little but more of that Houston warmth here! Ps I just realized today that my reply to you was saved in my drafts. Oops! Be prepared to see it soon in your inbox. And also lots more question on catching up. ;)

Oh, Maya! You know my feelings! it feels like I always wear my puffy down coat. It's a huge challenge to look somewhat stylish in those big marshmallow coats like you said.

Honestly, I under estimated the cold dressing like this. I didn't realize how quickly I could go into hyperthermia. And I'm most positive that I did. It took me a while after this to recover and to be able to get senses back into my body again. Haha..

And thank you so much for your sweet comment! Lately I haven't been dressing like this. I've been gravitating towards more of the European look. Maybe it's because I've been reading a lot of fashion blogs that are from EU. But items so much that it's your favorite look! Xx

Oops. I write on my phone. Sorry for any typos!

Haha I love your attitude, Gentri! It's so hard to look cute with tons of big puffy jackets or coats, isn't if?

I love this look! I have been so tempted to get that top but I'm trying to be good! I hate having to be practical in the cold months - but admittedly my go-to item is my big puffer coat from j.crew. It's so warm!

I'm puzzled with lots of exercises. I was afraid I could not do the right time despite my hard work. I need a support person.
