Sweet Liberation. That was the theme for Tadashi Shoji's SS14 collection this year.
And boy, do I love that man and his designs!
Tadashi Shoji took classic, feminine silhouettes and added checker patterns with lace to redefine the modern woman. Reminiscent of the 1920s, his designs incorporated a flapper spirit with fringe, tulle, and feathers. The Japanese-born, American fashion designer envisioned his woman as one with confidence and sweet femininity.

I was so honored when I got an invitation for Tadashi Shoji's show. I've always been a fan of his design and to be able to have an opportunity to see it live was an absolute dream. This was my first show at the Lincoln Center and I'm so happy that it was. It was everything I had dreamed, hoped for and more!

I still have LOTS to catch up with NYFW posts.
At this rate, I just might be done in time for FW2014 starts!
But really, I just have to buckle down and write down things that I remember and from my notes.
It was just such an amazing experience not to share!
