Hi everyone!
I hope you are all having an amazing week so far.
Not a lot of people are aware of this, but I actually went into surgery the day after I got back from New York. I scheduled all the blog posts to go live at the usual time in advance. So, it may have looked like I've been blogging, but really it was all planned ahead of time.
Today is the first day I'm able to sit in front of a computer without wanting to throw up all over my computer.

TMI? Sorry!

To be honest with you, I haven't been physically doing well for a while now. Things have gotten progressively worse the last two months or so.
I had a really rough time right before I left to New York. It felt like I was in and out of doctor's office all the time. Finally after talking to couple of specialists and pinpointing what needed to be done, they decided to schedule the surgery asap for when I got back into town.

I feel like everything happened so fast. I didn't have time to process things in my mind after coming back home from New York so physically and mentally exhausted. Which actually was such a blessing because I never thought about the upcoming surgery because my mind was occupied with other things. Had I had the time to think things through, I would have been a complete mess, I'm sure.
So, anyway, without going too much into details, that is what's been happening around here.

The recovery process has been slower, but I'm happy that I see a little progress daily.
I'm thankful for the body that I have. It's so remarkable to see how resilient human bodies can be.
I still have quite a ways to go, but I'm feeling optimistic than ever.
And it's such an amazing feeling.

I'm so grateful for the people that really helped me through this rough week.
Little notes, flowers, texts, and emails meant the world to me. It really did.
How did I get so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family?

I'm also so thankful for my wonderful friends that helped me out with guest posting. I have couple more lined up, so stay tuned! They are all fabulous ladies inside and out. I'm truly lucky to be able to call them my friends.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Glad to hear you are resilient. I understand how you feel, I have been dealing with chronic health problems since I was 12. I have had abdominal surgery in the past and there is probably more in my future. It does take much longer to recover then most people anticipate. Love your blog, following via Bloglovin and next time you are in NY let me know!

Thank you so much Denysia! You are always so kind! And I don't mind you asking at all! I've had breathing issues since my early teenage years. I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease called Sjögren's syndrome, so I already had respiratory issues. But on top of that I had sinus issues like polyps, deviated septom, and like 7 other issues that restricted my breathing heavily. And on top of not being able to already breathe well with my lungs, it was causing a lot of issues on my other organs. I was only able to breathe 18-20% out of my nose on a good day. So I went in and got all that taken care of. They did 9 procedures in 4 hours. So it was kind of invasive. But that's the short version! ;)

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that you've been dealing with health problems at such a young age, Alicia! That's terrible... I hope you don't have to have surgery again. My surgery lasted a little over 4 hours and I didn't realize all the little effects I would have post op. I know there is so much to be grateful for, but sometimes it's easy to focus on the little negative things when you are physically not feeling your best. I hope you are doing well right now.... And yes! I love the city so much. I plan on going back again possibly at the end of this month, it would be wonderful to meet you!
